ENGLISH SCORES 12 IN UPSET SPANISH LEAGUE LOSS

VALENCIA, Spain - Carl English of the Canadian Senior Men's National had his best outing of the season in Spain's ACB, scoring 12 points in Caja Laboral Vitoria's 81-74 upset loss to Valencia B.C. on Sunday.

It was Caja Laboral's first loss of the season, dropping them into a five-way tie for second behind undefeated Real Madrid (5-0). Caja Laboral, Valencia, DKV Joventut, Regal Barca and A.G. Fuenla are all 4-1.

English was 5-of-9 from the field (2-of-4 on threes) in 19 minutes of play. Tiago Splitter led Caja Laboral with 19 points and seven rebounds before fouling out in the fourth quarter.

Valencia's Rafael Martinez led all scorers with 23 points.
