ENGLISH LEADS THE WAY FOR CAJA LABORAL

VITORIA, Spain - Carl English of the Canadian Senior Men's National Team led five players in double figures in Caja Laboral's 76-68 home win over Ayuda en Accion Fuenlabrada on Sunday in the ACB league.
English had 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting (4-of-7 threes) and 5-of-6 from the line. He also had six rebounds in 31 minutes of play as a starter.
Pau Ribas added 14 points and Tiago Splitter had 11 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Fernando San Emeterio had 11 points and Mirza Teletovic scored 10 points.
Esteban Batista led Fuenlabrada with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
The hard-fought first quarter ended in an 18-18 tie. In the second period, both teams struggled offensively, with Caja Laboral leading 32-30 at the half.
Fuenlabrada managed to take a 64-62 lead with four minutes left to play, but consecutive baskets by Teletovic, Ribas and Stanko Barac gave the home team a five-point lead that would secure them the win.
Cajoral Laboral (7-2) is tied for third in the ACB with Valencia BC. Fuenlabrada (4-5) is in the middle of the pack in the 18-team league.
