Canada Basketball is proud to announce the 12 men who will represent Canada at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship for Men in Maldonado, Uruguary.

Head coach Dave DeAveiro sees strong potential in this squad as it prepares to play in hopes of qualifying for the 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship for Men. “We’ve assembled a talented team that can play well on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. It will be a competitive tournament with some very good teams, but this is a driven group that plays with passion and skill.”

The CMNT will match-up against Chile, Puerto Rico and host nation Uruguay in group B action. Team Canada opens the tournament as the home team against Puerto Rico on Tuesday, June 11. The FIBA Americas U16 Championship for Men will be broadcast live online at
