CANADA INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN CAMP PASS IT ON

(Toronto, Ont.) - Three Canadians – two athletes and one coach – have been selected to participate in Camp Pass It On, a social responsibility program organized by the Turkey Basketball Federation.

Taya Hanson (Kelowna, B.C.) and Rowan Barrett Jr. are the athletes chosen to take part in the program, while Emily Wright (Vancouver, B.C.) is the coach that will be traveling to Turkey to help make a difference.

“The aim of the program is to increase the impact of basketball through social responsibility projects that pass on positive values and experiences from former and current players, coaches, officials and managers to the next generation of our basketball family,” said Turgay Demirel, President of the Turkey Basketball Federation.

“We wish to inspire our youth to become ambassadors for our sport and to embrace positive values such as passion, respect and team spirit.”

The camp takes place from August 11 to 17 in Istanbul, Turkey. For more information, visit http://passiton.tbf.org.tr/camp-pass-it-on.
