Canadian Die-Hards Top 3

Wednesday, April 2nd

Cavs at Magic

This will be a game heavy in Canadian content. Anthony Bennett still remains sidelined by a knee injury, however two canucks will still be hitting the floor. Coming off an amazing game, scoring 12 points and grabbing 16 rebounds on Sunday, Tristan Thompson will look beat up the Magic inside like he did to the Pacers. Andrew Nicholson will have to play his smooth offensive game and try to slow down his Team Canada teammate who is currently on a tear.

Wednesday, April 2nd

Warriors at Spurs

Seeing as this is the “easier” game of three that the Spurs will play this week, look for Coach Pop to sit Tony Parker and get some minutes in for Cory Joseph. The Toronto, ON native has really started to see an increase role under Pop’s tutelage. The growth and maturity have shown in his game and he will have to bring it if he faces the a sharp-shooting backcourt like the Golden State Warriors.

Friday, April 4th

Mavs at Lakers

This is another game that will feature big Canadian talent. Samuel Dalembert will face off against rising star Robert Sacre  The Lakers are in a rebuild process, and seeing as Sacre is one of the few Lakers signed into next season, D’Antoni will look to get the most out of the big man. Pau Gasol is also dealing with injury, which could lead to more playing time for the North Vancouver, BC native. The savvy vet, Dalembert, will be manning the middle in his usual role for the Mavs. He will need to protect the rim from a speedy Monta Ellis and crash the boards against the big frontline of Lakers.
