Nurse Ties NCAA Tournament Record

TORONTO, ON (March 21, 2017) – UConn Huskies guard Kia Nurse (Hamilton, ON) hit 9 3-pointers in Monday’s victory over the Syracuse Orange, tying an NCAA tournament record and breaking the UConn record for most makes in a single game.

The performance was reminiscent of Nurse’s 25-point effort in Canada’s comeback win over Serbia at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio, and helped UConn advance to the Sweet 16 this upcoming weekend.
