SENIOR MEN’S NATIONAL TEAM ANNOUNCED AHEAD OF FIBA AMERICUP 2021 QUALIFIERS

TORONTO, Ont. (February 13, 2020) - Canada Basketball is pleased to announce the Senior Men’s National Team roster for the FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Qualifiers.

“It is always a great honour to represent Canada,” said head coach Gordie Herbert.  “We’re looking forward to facing the Dominican Republic in a home-and-away series which will be a great experience for us as a team.  Rowan Barrett, Michael Meeks and David Grundman have done a great job assembling a terrific group and we hope that Canadian fans will come out next Friday and support our players who are proudly representing this country.”

Canada will face Dominican Republic at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, Ontario on Friday, February 21 at 7:00 PM ET before travelling to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic for a rematch on Monday, February 24.

Tickets are on sale now for as low as $13.49 for children and are available at the Tribute Communities Centrebox office, 1-877-436-8811 and http://www.tributecommunitiescentre.com.

The FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Qualifiers will feature 16 teams from the Americas zone divided into four groups of four teams.  Teams will play each other twice, home and away, during the qualifying phase with three windows set for February 21-24 2020, November 2020 and February 2021.
