Tickets on sale now for 2015 FIBA Americas Women's Championship

Canadians can support their Women's National Team in Edmonton from August 9-16 with a variety of ticket options, from single game tickets starting at $10.00 to a full $92.00 tournament package. All games will be played at the Saville Community Sports Centre, the official training grounds of the Canadian Women's National Team. Fans can find a full event schedule here.  

The Women's National Team placed 5th at the 2014 FIBA World Championship in Turkey -- their best finish in almost 30 years. The last FIBA Americas for the squad was in Xalapa in 2013, where they won silver. Prior to the 2015 FIBA Americas Women's Championship, the team will compete in the 2015 Pan Am games in Toronto.

The 2015 FIBA Americas Women's Championship will be held at Saville Community Sports Centre (SCSC) the official training grounds of the Canadian Women's National Team. The ten teams will compete over 8-days, with the champion qualifying directly to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The Province of Alberta, City of Edmonton and Sport Canada have been instrumental partners in giving the team a home and earning the right to host this exciting international event. 
 
This is the second time Canada has played host to this event. The first time was in Hamilton, Ontario in 1995 where Canada took the gold. Ticket information will be announced later this month. For more details visit: http://fibaamericas.com/can2015/
