    Shai Gilgeous-Alexander turned heads through his first three games at NBA Summer League, leading his Los Angeles Clippers ball club in scoring to begin the summer. Gilgeous-Alexander is currently averaging 19.7 points per game to go along with 3.3 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game.     Nayo Raincock Ekunwe racked up 14 points to go along with five rebounds and a steal in Team Canadaâ??s 78-45 victory over Team Turkey in the Edmonton Grads International Classic. Ekunweâ??s 14 points proved to be the game-high alongside fellow teammate, Bridget Carleton.     Kelly Olynyk averaged a team-high 14 points to go along with seven rebounds per game and four assists per game over the course of two wins for Team Canada. Canadaâ??s two victories came against the Dominican Republic and the U.S. Virgin Islands to close out the first round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers. Behind the leadership of Olynyk, Canada finished the first round of the qualifiers with a 5-1 record and secured first place in Group D.     After falling by a slim 64-63 margin days before to Tarbes in game three of the French League finals, Katherine Plouffe and her Bourges ball club bounced back in game four with an 87-80 victory to seal the French League championship. Plouffe, who faced her fellow Canadian and sister, Michelle, throughout the finals, was a significant part of her teamâ??s monumental victory, racking up 24 points, five rebounds, and six assists over the course of the final two games of the series.     Melvin Ejim

    Melvin Ejim proved instrumental in a pair of wins for his UNIC ball club as the team went on to defeat Nizhny Novgorod in four games in a best-of-five series. The two wins helped UNIC to advance to the VTB United League semi-finals where they will take on Khimki. Over the course of the last two games of the series, Ejim totaled 28 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists as his team enjoyed a 15-point victory to seal the series.     Kia Nurse

    In her first professional regular season game in the WNBA, Kia Nurse dropped an efficient 17 points on 50 FG% to go along with two rebounds, three assists, and a pair of steals, aiding her New York Liberty team on both sides of the ball. Her impressive debut came in an 80-76 loss to the Chicago Sky as Nurse and the Liberty look to bounce back against the defending-champions, the Minnesota Lynx, this Friday at home.     Tristan Thompson

    Tristan Thompson was instrumental in two wins for the Cleveland Cavaliers this week over the Boston Celtics to tie the series at two games apiece in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. In a 116-86 blowout victory, Thompson posted an efficient 10 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and played spectacular defence to help the Cavaliers earn the victory. In the second game just two days later, Thompson helped his team once again defend home court with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double, leading his team in +/- and ending the night with a 111-102 victory.     Abigail Fogg led her BBC Troist ball club with a team-high 19 points to go along with seven rebounds in a 63-60 loss to Fribourg in game one of the Swiss womenâ??s league finals. It was a closely contested opening game of the series thanks in large part to Fogg, who was a +27 on the evening.     Kyle Wiltjer was instrumental in leading his Olympiacos ball club in a regular season blowout win over Promitheas as his team cruised to a 104-69 victory. Wiltjer dropped a game-high 23 points in just 25 minutes while shooting 6-10 from beyond the arc. Plouffe filled up the box score for her club, putting up 22 points on 8-12 shooting while racking up an enormous double-double, securing 15 rebounds on the night.
