The Canadian U17 Women's National Team participated in the FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 in Minsk, Belarus from July 21-29 2018.  After finishing training camp at Humber College, the team flew to Latvia to play three exhibition games against Latvia, China and the USA where they won two of the three.

To start off the U17 Women's Basketball World Cup, Team Canada earned a win against Latvia and Angola then lost to Australia to finish the group phase 2-1 and second in their group.  Canada advanced to the Round of 16 to their matchup with Spain where they lost 72-50, sending them to the classification bracket.  After victories over Colombia, China and Mali, Canada finished the U17 Women's Basketball World Cup in 9th place.
