TORONTO, Ontario (April 24, 2024) - Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Sami Hill have been named the Toyota Canada Players of the Week for April 22-26.

The Minnesota Timberwolves took a 2-0 lead over the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the NBA playoffs, with Canadian Nickeil Alexander-Walker playing a huge role in their first win. Alexander-Walker scored 18 points, just third behind teammates Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards. He also recorded four rebounds and four steals in 29 minutes of play, shooting 7/12 from the field and 4/9 from 3PT.

Over in Spain, SWNT Member Sami Hill put up 16 points and shot 10-10 from the free throw line in Araski AES’s latest win over Jairis. She also added two rebounds, three assists and a steal. Hill is averaging 9.6 points per game in the Spanish league, recently helping Canada qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics in February.
