TORONTO (Feb. 10, 2026) – Dalano Banton and Jasmine Bascoe have been named Players of the Week for Feb. 2–8.
Banton has been making a name for himself this week. The Rexdale, ON guard recently signed a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. He’s been hooping in the G League, averaging a stellar 24 points, six assists, and nine rebounds across two games. He has looked like an all-around talent and is aiming to become a key contributor to this new-look Clippers roster. Banton was originally selected in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors and has since had stints in Toronto, Boston, and Portland. He was last seen playing for Canada at the 2022 FIBA AmeriCup.
Jasmine Bascoe has had a monster few games for her Villanova Wildcats. The Milton, ON native has put up two 27-point, five-assist performances against DePaul and Butler, and followed that up with a strong 19-point, five-rebound, three-assist outing. She continues to assert herself as a key offensive engine for the Wildcats as conference play heats up. Bascoe last represented Team Canada this past summer at the U19 Women’s World Cup.
