TORONTO, Ont. (Mar 11, 2024) - Dalano Banton and Delaney Gibb have been named the Toyota Canada Players of the Week for March 11-15.

Toronto product Dalano Banton had a huge week for the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA. After moving into the starting lineup, he averaged 22 points, seven rebounds, and five assists over their last four games. His standout performance came on March 8 against with Houston Rockets with 30 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Banton recently led the Blazers to a win against his former team in his hometown, the Toronto Raptors, in overtime with 25 points and seven rebounds.

Over in high school basketball in Alberta, Raymond High School defeated the provincial number two-ranked Lethbridge Collegiate Institute. Delaney Gibb scored 44 points for Raymond, leading all scorers in the big win during the zone championship. Gibb last suited up for Canada in the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup, where Canada won Bronze.
