TORONTO (June 24, 2026) – Canada Basketball announced today the rosters that will represent Canada and Team Ottawa at the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series stop in Poitiers, France, taking place June 26–27.
Canada enters the tournament following a strong start to the 2026 Women's Series campaign, with a win at the season-opening stop in Shanghai earlier this year.
Canada's roster features Olympians Katherine Plouffe and Paige Crozon, alongside Merissah Russell and Cassandra Brown.
Russell has continued to establish herself on the international 3x3 circuit since making her national team debut at the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup 2025, earning tournament MVP honours at the Shanghai stop of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series 2026. Brown was also a key contributor to Canada’s title-winning run at the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Final in Shanghai in 2025. Plouffe and Crozon add further experience to the roster after representing Canada at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2026 in Warsaw, Poland, earlier this month, as the group continues to build momentum on the international stage.
The event marks Team Ottawa's first appearance on the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series circuit in 2026, joining Canada as one of two Canadian teams competing this weekend.
Team Ottawa will be represented by Olympian Kacie Bosch, Saicha Grant-Allen, Niyah Becker and Jade Belmore.
Canada continues to integrate athletes with 5-on-5 experience into its 3x3 program, with Niyah Becker set to make her 3x3 national team debut after attending 3x3 Senior Women’s National Team training camp in May. Becker most recently represented Canada at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournament in Istanbul, Türkiye, this past March.
Bosch and Grant-Allen bring significant 3x3 experience to the roster and will provide veteran leadership on both ends of the floor. Grant-Allen enters the tournament after being named MVP of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Final Tournament in 2025, while Belmore returns to international 3x3 competition after making her debut at the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup 2025.
Canada opens play this Friday, June 26 against Hungary at 12:25 pm ET / 9:25 am pt, followed by Team Ottawa against Neftchi SOCAR at 12:50 pm et / 9:50 am pt. Fans can watch all games live on CBC Gem and FIBA’s 3x3 YouTube channel.
