TORONTO (June 11, 2026) — Canada announced on Thursday its roster for the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series 2026 in Vienna, Austria.

Canada enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed and has been drawn into Pool B alongside host Austria and France. Round-robin play begins Friday, June 12, against Austria at 2:20 p.m. ET before Canada faces France on Saturday, June 13, at 6:10 a.m. ET. All games will be streamed live on CBC Gem and FIBA 3x3’s YouTube channel.

Returning to the roster are Paige Crozon, Katherine Plouffe, Merissah Russell and Tara Wallack, who helped Canada capture the Women’s Series title in Shanghai last month. Canada defeated Amsterdam 19-17 in overtime in the championship game.

Russell was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player after leading all players with 33 points. She also topped the competition in two-pointers made (eight) and player value (45.6).

Daniel Ferguson also returns as head coach after guiding Canada to Women’s Series titles in Edmonton and Bordeaux in 2025, as well as the Shanghai stop this past month.

Crozon, Plouffe and Wallack return to Women’s Series action after representing Canada at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2026 in Warsaw, Poland last week. Canada finished fourth in Pool D with a 2-2 record and did not advance to the knockout stage, setting the stage for the Canadians to look for a stronger result in Vienna.

"We're obviously disappointed with our outcome there, but we're really looking forward to getting back on the court, getting better and implementing some changes.” said Michelle Plouffe, 3x3 Performance Manager at Canada Basketball. “I think it'll definitely build our resilience in terms of how we rebound, bounce back and learn a lot in the process."

"Having a long-term perspective is helpful. It's a long season, and this is really just the beginning."
