TORONTO (July 30, 2026) – Canada Basketball announced today the roster that will represent Canada at the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series stop in Tokyo, Japan, taking place August 1-2.

Canada enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed and has been drawn into Pool B alongside Mitsubishi Electric (JPN) and Romania. Round-robin play begins Saturday, August 1, against Romania at 3:50 a.m. ET, followed by Mitsubishi Electric (JPN) at 5:50 a.m. ET. All games will be streamed live on CBC Gem and FIBA 3x3’s YouTube channel.

Returning to the roster are Paige Crozon, Katherine Plouffe, Merissah Russell and Cassandra Brown, who helped Canada finish runner-up at the Marseille stop earlier this month. Crozon, Plouffe and Russell all finished among the tournament’s top five in player value, while Brown played a key role in Canada’s semifinal win over France, shooting a perfect 100 per cent from the field. The group will look to build on that performance and make another run to the final in Tokyo.

Daniel Ferguson returns as head coach after guiding Canada to a Women’s Series title in Shanghai in May, as well as titles in Edmonton, Bordeaux, and Shanghai in the 2025 Women’s Series season.
