TORONTO (April 3, 2026) — Canada Basketball announced Friday the 44 athletes attending its 2026 Men’s U17 Selection Camp fuelled by Gatorade, set for April 3–6 at Humber College in Toronto.

Held annually each spring, the Selection Camp brings together the top athletes from across the country within Canada Basketball’s men’s high-performance pathway. Athletes born in 2009 or later are eligible for the U17 age group.

Following the Selection Camp, selected athletes will advance to a final age-group training camp later this summer. The final roster will represent Canada at the FIBA U17 Men’s Basketball World Cup 2026, set for June 27–July 5 in Istanbul, Türkiye.

The camp will be led by head coach Chris Cheng, alongside assistant coaches Dan Vanhooren, Brad Campbell and Madhav Trivedi.

The event will conclude on Monday with the Canada Basketball Selection Camp Games fuelled by Gatorade, featuring an intrasquad matchup between evenly split teams. The game will be live streamed, with broadcast details to be announced.
