Canada Basketball announces partnership with RAMP Interactive to launch Member Management System

TORONTO (August 24, 2023) – Canada Basketball is pleased to announce a partnership with RAMP Interactive to launch the rollout of the national Member Management System (MMS) for clubs, associations and provincial/territorial sport organizations (PTSOs) across the country.  The new MMS will be available for use starting this fall and will provide a comprehensive digital platform of tools to support clubs, minor associations, and teams across Canada.

As a platform, the objective of the MMS is to further connect the basketball system in the country while driving further value to everyone involved in basketball across Canada. Clubs and administrators will gain free access to the system to support player and coach registration and team assignment, communication tools, and strong financial management and reporting. Players, parents, and coaches will benefit from one simplified system for registration that can also provide access to national partnership discounts and benefits.

“Canada Basketball is excited about the launch of this new national Member Management System as it will provide clubs and organizations with a powerful online tool for registration and team management,” said Ron Yeung, Head of Domestic Development at Canada Basketball. “The system will also enhance the safer sport system and connectivity amongst all basketball stakeholders and support our organization’s goal of system alignment from coast-to-coast-to-coast. Basketball participants across Canada will benefit from a more robust basketball system and will also receive other benefits and perks from our partners.”

“We are thrilled to embark on this exciting partnership with Canada Basketball to deliver a comprehensive Member Management System,” said Brad Kronewitt, President of RAMP Interactive. “This collaboration underscores RAMP Interactive’s commitment to empowering sports organizations with cutting-edge technology that enhances efficiency and connectivity. Through this platform, we aim to elevate the basketball experience for participants across Canada and contribute to the growth of the sport.”

The following provincial/territorial sport organizations have adopted the RAMP system as MMS program signatories:

- Alberta Basketball Association

- Basketball New Brunswick

- Basketball Northwest Territories

- Basketball Nova Scotia

- Basketball Saskatchewan Incorporated

- Newfoundland & Labrador Basketball Association

- Ontario Basketball Association

With this partnership, Canada Basketball will provide free access to use the RAMP Registration System for these PTSOs and their member clubs. Beyond registration capabilities, member organizations will also benefit from a wide array of system functions to support their programs, including (but not limited to):

- Team management

- Tournament and camp registration

- Team and club communication

- Efficient reporting

- Safe sport and coach education tracking

- Background check monitoring

On-boarding and training webinars for local clubs will be hosted by RAMP with each PTSO and Canada Basketball to walk through the functionality of the MMS and to ask questions.

Canada Basketball will continue to work with other provinces and territories to add future program signatories and continue to drive benefits to their own development programs and member clubs.
