TORONTO (March 9, 2026) – Canada Basketball announced Monday the four athletes who will represent Canada at the FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2026, set for March 13–15 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Olympians Katherine Plouffe, Paige Crozon and Kacie Bosch headline the roster, joined by Saicha Grant-Allen, the reigning 3x3 Champions Cup MVP.

Canada enters the tournament as the defending champions after capturing the inaugural FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup title in 2025.

“We’re thrilled to have this group back together,” said Steve Baur, Vice-President and General Manager, Women's High Performance. “Katherine, Paige, Kacie and Saicha haven’t played together since winning the Champions Cup last year, so it’s exciting to bring them back for this event. This is a group that knows how to win together, and their experience, chemistry and competitive edge will be key as we look to defend our title against some of the best teams in the world.”

The FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup brings together the world’s top 3x3 national teams for a high-level international competition celebrating performance, competitiveness and the continued global growth of the discipline. The 2026 edition will feature eight women’s teams, including continental champions, World Cup winners, top-ranked nations and host Thailand.

Canada will compete in Group B alongside Spain, Azerbaijan and host Thailand. The field also includes Netherlands, United States, Australia and Madagascar in Group A.

Canada will open tournament play against Azerbaijan on March 13 at 5:20 a.m. ET / 2:20 a.m. PT, followed by Spain later that day at 8:30 a.m. ET / 5:30 a.m. Round-robin play concludes March 14 against Thailand at 6:30 a.m. ET / 3:30 a.m. PT.

The top two teams from each pool will advance to the semifinals on March 15, with the championship game taking place later that day.

The 2026 tournament carries added significance, with the champions earning direct qualification to the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2027, the FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2027, and the Cups-based Olympic Qualification Tournament for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

All games will be played at CentralWorld Square in Bangkok and streamed live on FIBA’s YouTube channel.

Canada will be coached by Daniel Ferguson, who began coaching with the women’s program in 2025 and has previously worked across both Canada’s men’s and women’s 3x3 programs. Ferguson guided Canada to first-place finishes at the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series stops in Edmonton and Bordeaux, as well as the Women’s Series Final in Shanghai last summer, and most recently led the team to a silver medal at the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup 2025.
