TORONTO (May 27, 2025) — Canada Basketball has announced the U16 men’s national team training camp roster, as the team begins final preparations for the upcoming FIBA U16 Men’s AmeriCup 2025.

The camp is being held this week at Humber College in Toronto, where the group will train ahead of the tournament, scheduled for June 2–8 in Juárez, Mexico. The final 12-player roster that will represent Canada at the continental championship will be selected at the conclusion of camp.

Chris Cheng returns as head coach after leading the U16 men’s team in 2023, and the U17 men’s national team in 2024.

The FIBA U16 Men’s AmeriCup 2025 serves as a qualifier for the FIBA Men's U17 Basketball World Cup 2026. Canada last medalled at the U16 tournament in 2023, finishing with silver in Yucatán, Mexico.
