Canada Basketball Bringing Top NBA Talent to Quebec City for FIBA Basketball Men’s World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers

Quebec City, April 15, 2026 – Gestev, in partnership with Canada Basketball, is set to deliver one of the biggest basketball events in the country this year as Canada’s Senior Men’s National Team (SMNT) takes the court at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City on August 31, 2026, for the FIBA Basketball Men’s World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers.

Tickets start at $66.70 (taxes and service fees included) and will be available via presale beginning April 16 at noon ET for Canada Basketball Insiders and Videotron Centre newsletter subscribers. Tickets go on sale to the public on April 17 at 10 AM ET on gestev.com.

For one night only, fans will have the chance to experience Canada’s top basketball talent —featuring players competing at the highest levels of the game— together on home soil. This is a rare opportunity to see Canadian NBA players unite in one jersey, representing their country as Canada continues its push toward the FIBA Basketball Men’s World Cup 2027.

The action tips off at Videotron Centre in Quebec City and will be broadcast nationally on TSN/RDS. The opponent and tip off time will be confirmed following Window Three of qualifiers on July 3 and 6 in Hamilton, Ontario.

This marks the first time since 2018 that the SMNT will play in Quebec, and anticipation is already building as one of Canada’s most exciting and talented national teams returns to the province.  The last time the team played on Quebec soil, they defeated Brazil 85-77 during the 2019 FIBA Basketball Men’s World Cup Qualifiers.

Canada remains undefeated in FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers play, with wins over the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and Jamaica, and currently sits atop Group B. The team will look to carry that momentum into Quebec City in front of what promises to be an electric, high-energy atmosphere.

A total of 16 teams are competing in the qualifiers, with the top seven advancing to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 in Qatar.

Canada is currently ranked fifth in the FIBA Men’s World Ranking, presented by Nike, following the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
