Canada Basketball Women’s High Performance accepting expression of interest for Age-Group Coaching Pool

/

Sep 8, 2026

Canada Basketball Women’s High Performance is seeking dedicated, forward-thinking coaches to join its High-Performance Coaching Pool for upcoming age-group programming.

Canada Basketball maintains an active talent identification process to help align the right coaches with the right athlete cohorts. Submitting an Expression of Interest places a coach’s profile directly into the candidate pool for review by the Coaching Advisory Panel as program opportunities become available throughout the year.

Selection process

Submitting an Expression of Interest places the applicant’s profile in Canada Basketball’s coaching pool.

Before each competitive cycle or training camp window, the Coaching Advisory Panel will review candidates against the technical, cultural and leadership needs of each team or camp.

Candidates shortlisted by the panel will be contacted directly for targeted discussions, interviews and alignment checks as team staff rosters are assembled.Submission of an Expression of Interest does not guarantee an interview or appointment for a specific cycle.

It serves as Canada Basketball’s primary mechanism for ongoing talent identification and recruitment across all age-group cohorts.

Candidate profile and qualifications

Canada Basketball invites applications from coaches who demonstrate:

Athlete-centred leadership: Strong communication, high emotional intelligence and a commitment to safe sport practices.
Technical and tactical competency: Demonstrated success in developing elite-level skills and adapting tactical frameworks for age-stage athletes.
