The Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournaments game schedule can be found here.

From here,  the road to the Women's World Cup heads to Belgrade (Serbia), Osaka (Japan) and Washington, D.C. (USA), with 16 teams vying for 12 spots.  Belgrade will host two qualifying tournaments, while Osaka and Washington, D.C. will each stage one event. These qualifying tournaments will take place from February 10 to 13.

FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis provided the opening remarks as Serbia great Sonja Vasic performed the Draw.  The reigning TISSOT MVP of the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2021, Vasic comes off a memorable summer, having first led Serbia to the continental crown and later to the Bronze Medal Game at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The new Women's National Team Competition System came into effect in November 2019, setting out the road to all of FIBA's main women's competitions over a four-year cycle, including the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022. Here's a breakdown of how teams can make it to the flagship event next summer in Sydney.

The host of the Women's World Cup 2022, Australia, and Olympic champions, USA, will participate in the qualifiers. However, both of these teams receive automatic qualification for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 - Australia as event hosts and the USA by virtue of winning the Olympic Women's Basketball Tournament in Tokyo.

The Women's World Cup 2022 is set to take place from September 22 - October 1,  2022. For more information about how teams qualify, click here.
