The tournament returns to Brazil for the first time since 1984, when it was held in Sao Paulo and the FIBA Hall of Famer, Oscar Schmidt led the hosts to gold.
The region's top competitors will represent the colors of the following twelve (12) countries: Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela, Virgin Islands, United States, and the host nation Brazil.
"It's an honor and a privilege to return to the country of Brazil to play the FIBA AmeriCup 2022.
