‍TORONTO (May 14, 2025) - Kadre Gray and Kayla Alexander have been named the Players of the Week for May 5. - May 11. 

Gray came up big for CS Valcea 1924, scoring 25 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in a win in the Romanian league, sealing their quarter final series win and sending the team into the semi finals. The Toronto, Ont. native has been on fire with CS Valcea this season, averaging 21 points, five rebounds, and six assists, highlighted by a career-defining 50-point game earlier this year. Graylast represented Canada at the FIBA Men’s AmeriCup Qualifiers in February 2025, helping Canada secure their spot in this summer’s tournament. 

Alexander earns her second consecutive Player of the Week honours after another stellar performance for Valencia (Liga Femenina). The Milton, Ont. native dropped a game-high 15 points along with eight rebounds to lead Valencia to LF Endesa Final victory, earning her Finals MVP honours. Alexander averaged 13 points and eight rebounds in the playoffs, outperforming her regular season statistics. Alexander last suited up for Canada with the Senior Women’s National Team at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
