TORONTO (Oct. 23, 2025) – Isaiah Hamilton and Sienna Morris, two rising stars from Canada Basketball’s age group national teams, have been named recipients of Petro-Canada’s Fuelling Athlete and Coaching Excellence (FACE) grants.

Petro-Canada’s FACE program supports emerging Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls and their coaches. Each year, 55 athlete-coach pairs across Canada receive grants to help them pursue their goals before they qualify for government funding.

Canadian Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls receive $10,000 FACE grants — split evenly between the athlete and coach — to support training, equipment, coach education and competition travel.

Oakville, Ont., native Isaiah Hamilton made an immediate impact in his Team Canada debut at the FIBA U16 Men’s AmeriCup in June. Hamilton averaged 21 points, six rebounds, three steals and an assist per game, and set a tournament record for a Canadian with a 32-point performance against Brazil.

Brampton, Ont., native Sienna Morris made her national team debut this past summer at the FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup, helping Canada capture silver. She was also a standout for Ontario at the 15U National Championships, averaging seven points and eight rebounds per game en route to a gold medal and First Team All-Star honours.

Also receiving the Petro-Canada FACE grant is Chris Skinner, Hamilton’s coach at Canada Elite, and Nicolette Stewart, Morris’ coach at Orangeville Prep.
