Head Coach Thomaidis: Named One of the Most Influential Women in Canadian Sport

Congratulations to SWNT Head Coach Lisa Thomaidis on being named one of Canada’s most influential women of sport in 2013 by the CAAWS!

The Dundas, Ontario native has been with our national team program for over 11 years and has just completed her first year as head coach of the senior women’s national team. She is also the current coach of the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in the CIS.

We contacted Lisa in Saskatoon for her thoughts on the nomination. She shared: “It’s an honour to be included in such an illustrious group of amazing women from across the country.  I’ve been so fortunate to be able to work alongside and learn from some very influential and strong women over the course of my career, so this is a reflection of those mentors that I’ve had.”
