Kassius Robertson and Cassandre Prosper named Toyota Canada Players of the Week for February 28 to March 6

Kassius Robertson and Cassandre Prosper have been selected as the Toyota Players of the Week for the week from February 28 to March 6.

In Robertson’s first game after returning from the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Qualifiers, the 6’3” guard scored 23 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists for Monbus Obradoiro against Tenerife in the LIGA ACB. The Toronto, ON attended the University of Missouri (NCAA) before beginning a successful professional career in Europe and in the CEBL. In last week’s FIBA World Cup 2023 Qualifiers, Robertson was big for Canada off the bench, averaging 10 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists over the two wins against Dominican Republic and U.S. Virgin Islands. 

Prosper had a huge week winning OSBA MVP and led Capital Courts to the OSBA Championship, where she also took home the OSBA Finals MVP honours, while leading the team with 33 points, 15 rebounds and 4 steals in the final game over King’s Christian. The 6’2” forward from Rosemere, QC currently attends Capital Courts Academy and has most recently represented Team Canada at the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup and attended the Senior Women’s National Team training camp this past November.
