TORONTO (August 27, 2025) – Avery Howell and Xaivian Lee have been named The Keg Size Players of the Week for August 11–18, presented by The Keg.
Toronto native Xaivian Lee impressed in front of a home crowd at GLOBL JAM. The 6-foot-4 guard from the University of Florida showcased his two-way game, helping Canada to key wins against international competition. In a decisive victory over Georgetown, Lee recorded 11 points, seven rebounds and two steals. He followed with a team-leading 18 points, six assists and eight rebounds in Canada’s win against Japan.
Avery Howell, a guard from the University of Washington, continued her standout summer after earning Second All-Star Team honours at the FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup in July. Howell powered Canada to the GLOBL JAM women’s championship, highlighted by a 28-point performance against Puerto Rico and a game-high 24 points in the final. She shot six-for-six from three-point range and eight-for-10 from the field in the title game, earning Tournament MVP honours and helping Canada secure its second GLOBL JAM crown.
