Day two of the 2026 U15 and U17 National Championships has come to a close, as eight games across both women’s divisions took place at Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, Quebec on Tuesday.

NOTEWORTHY

• The most thrilling game of the day goes to Manitoba and Nova Scotia in U15 action. Manitoba rallied back from trailing the whole game, outscoring Nova Scotia 17-6 in the fourth quarter to earn a bye to the quarter-final round. Obehi Okhiria led the comeback with 17 points as Manitoba erased a game-long deficit in front of a spirited Sherbrooke crowd.
• Ontario avenged last year's 2025 Canada Summer Games final loss to Alberta, overcoming a 10-point halftime deficit to earn a 72-58 victory. Portia Reisen led the way with a game-high 19 points as Ontario held the defending champions to just 21 second-half points. 
• Prince Edward Island came out firing from beyond the arc in its U17 women's matchup against Saskatchewan, knocking down five consecutive three-pointers to open the game. Harlow Hannams connected on three of those makes and finished with 12 points while shooting 66 per cent from the field.
• Play-in and quarter-final matchups are set following the conclusion of preliminary round action in Sherbrooke. In U15 women's action, Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan will battle for a spot in the quarter-finals against Ontario, while Newfoundland and Labrador and PEI will meet for the opportunity to face Alberta. Manitoba and Quebec, along with British Columbia and New Brunswick, round out the quarter-final matchups.
• The U17 women's playoff picture is also taking shape, with Manitoba and Newfoundland and Labrador set to compete for a quarter-final matchup against Alberta. Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick will battle for a spot opposite Ontario, while Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia, along with British Columbia and Quebec, complete the quarter-final slate.
