VICTORIA (July 16, 2026) – Canada Basketball has announced the athletes who will attend the Senior Women’s National Team training camp from July 18-25 in Victoria, B.C. as preparations continue for the FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament 2026 in Guadalajara, Mexico.

As part of training camp, Canada will take on the reigning NCAA champion UCLA Bruins in an exhibition game on July 22 during W'HOOP IT UP at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Tickets for W'HOOP IT UP are on sale now through Ticketmaster. The exhibition game is scheduled for July 22 at 7:00 p.m. PT.

The Victoria training camp marks Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team’s second on-court gathering this summer, following last month’s camp in Montreal as preparations continue for the Road to LA 2028.

The roster brings together veteran national team athletes and emerging players from Canada’s high-performance pathway, including athletes with experience at the Olympic Games, the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup and age-group international events.

After completing its Victoria training camp, Canada will compete at the FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament 2026 in Guadalajara, Mexico, from Aug. 17-23. The tournament serves as the opening stage of the Road to LA 2028, with the winner earning a spot in the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in March 2028..
