Six quarter-final clashes take centre stage on Day 4 of U15 & U17 Men’s National Championships
THE RUNDOWN
Friday’s semifinals of the 2026 U15 and U17 Men’s National Championships are officially set, after a busy Thursday at the University of Regina which saw 10 games go down – including six quarter-finals.
NOTEWORTHY
- Nova Scotia perhaps made the biggest splash on what was a jam packed day in Regina. Led by a 26-point performance from Mason MacRae, Nova Scotia rolled past British Columbia with an 88-60 victory to advance to the U15 Men’s semifinals. They will take on Quebec, who defeated Saskatchewan, with a ticket to Saturday’s National Championship game on the line.
- In other U15 Men’s action, Ontario remained undefeated thanks to a big win over New Brunswick. They will take on Manitoba in the other semifinal, who advanced after defeating Alberta on Wednesday.
- Meanwhile, the semifinals are also set on the U17 Men’s side. Alberta held off Saskatchewan, defeating the hosts on their home court 102-76, to make a date with Ontario on Friday, who rolled to a 92-65 win over Nova Scotia. In other quarter-final action, British Columbia moved to 3-0 in Regina, as they took down New Brunswick to set up a semifinal clash with Quebec.
- It was another historic day for the Northwest Territories. The U17 Men’s squad reeled off back-to-back wins over Newfoundland, then Prince Edward Island to finish ninth at — the territories best ever finish at Nationals.
