TORONTO (Mar. 4, 2026) - Keishana Washington and Marcus Carr have been named Keg Size Players of the Week for Feb. 23-Mar.1.
Washington is having the best season of her professional career in her first year with Keflavik W in Iceland, averaging 20.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game. In a narrow loss to Armann, the Pickering, Ont. native dropped an impressive double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds, along with five assists and one steal. Washington last suited up for Canada with the Senior Women’s National Team in Toronto this past summer as part of their FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2025 training camp roster.
It was a career night for Carr, who poured in a Canada Basketball career-high 35 points while adding nine assists and four rebounds, powering Canada to an overtime victory over Puerto Rico in Window 2 of the FIBA Men's Basketball World Cup 2027 Qualifiers. With the win, Canada completed the window undefeated to secure top spot in Pool B, remaining one of 11 nations unbeaten through the first two windows of qualifying. The Toronto, Ont. native also currently competes for Würzburg Baskets in Germany, where he is averaging 16.7 points and five assists per game this season.
