TORONTO (February 22, 2026) — Canada Basketball announced Sunday the 12 athletes who will represent the Canadian Senior Men’s National Team in Window 2 of the FIBA Men’s World Cup 2027 Qualifiers.
Canada will face Puerto Rico on Feb. 26 at 7:10 p.m. ET / 4:10 p.m. PT in San Juan, Puerto Rico, before travelling to Kingston, Jamaica to take on Jamaica on Mar. 1 at 6:00 p.m ET / 3:00 p.m. PT. Both games will be available to stream live in Canada on TSN+ (subscription required).
Canada enters Window 2 atop Group B with a 2-0 record, following a sweep of the Bahamas in Window 1 — a 111-75 victory in Nassau and a 94-88 win at home. Jamaica also sits at 2-0 after sweeping Puerto Rico, setting up a pivotal matchup between the group leaders in Kingston.
Puerto Rico and the Bahamas enter the window at 0-2.
This marks Jamaica’s first appearance in the FIBA Men’s World Cup Qualifiers since the competition adopted its current six-window qualification format.
Kyle Wiltjer returns after leading Canada in scoring during Window 1, averaging 18.5 points and five rebounds per game against the Bahamas. Nate Darling and Jackson Rowe join the qualifying roster for the first time, bringing valuable NBA and NBA G League experience to the squad.
Canada is seeking to remain undefeated as it continues its qualification campaign toward the FIBA Men’s World Cup 2027 in Qatar. The program enters this cycle following a historic bronze medal performance at the most recent Men’s World Cup in 2023 — Canada’s first-ever podium finish at the event.
Nathanial Mitchell returns as head coach for Window 2. He is joined by assistants JD Jackson, Hanno Möttölä and Phil Jevtovic, who were part of the staff during the opening window.
